Program Fund
Your heart and your treasure go together.
All of the fund accounts entrusted to The Catholic Foundation have something in common: They were created to benefit what we as Catholics believe in. As Jesus said: “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
In the diverse cities and towns all across northern Colorado—among more than 150 parishes in the Archdiocese of Denver and through the efforts of nearly 150 Catholic organizations—you will find all kinds of inspiration.
Our Giving Catalog provides ideas for how a program fund can be created to support your parish, school or other ministry. If appropriate, your fund may be listed in our catalog so you can easily invite others to make contributions too.
How It Works
As you may have discovered already through research or planning, a ministry program fund allows you to decide where your money goes, following agreed-upon guidelines.
The Foundation manages the invested funds and distributes grants on your behalf. Depending on how the fund is set up, you can allow some flexibility to request different amounts and recipients each time you give.
What You Need to Know
The Catholic Foundation of Northern Colorado has established standards for ministry program funds that are in keeping with our mission and financial management priorities, including:
- $25,000 minimum starting fund contribution
- Additional contributions at any time, any amount
- Monthly fund performance reports
- Annual grant distributions
- Grant-making determined by fund agreement
- Grants to qualified non-profit organizations
- Grants kept anonymous if desired
- Grants in accordance with the mission of the Foundation
- Appropriate for funding operations or capital projects
